What kind of name is Cow Tales?

Posted on

Really now, who coined this name? It’s just not appealing. ” How about some Cow Tails? ” “No thanks, I’m still full from the hooves…..” Cow anything isn’t a good choice for a name.

The candy itself is pretty decent, a rope of white nougat covered caramel. It is really a long caramel cream, or “bullseye” as we used to call them back in the day.

Made in the U.S.A. by the Goetze candy company, these also come in Chocolate and Strawberry, and Caramel Apple. They are made with sugar, milk and cream ingredients and are nut-free. They come in a long form, and a mini version that’s about 3″ long. Those should be called Calf Tales….

Cow Tales are very sweet, so they’re more for kids than adults. The name got me and I had to try it. If I see the flavored versions, I’ll try those, too. I do love to support U.S. candy companies…
